Eddy makes use of abstract as well as figurative language in order to explore personal experiences and emotions. Often, Eddy’s reduction and abstraction are revealed in bold Matisse-like geometric shapes and colors.
The titles of his artworks are sometimes descriptive, sometimes suggestive, subtly blurring the line between what we see and what we think we see (or what we see when we think). Eddy works very intuitively, gradually twisting personal representations and associations into playful and inviting pieces. Nonetheless, contradiction and juxtaposition are always apparent in his images, leaving the viewer slightly (but comfortably) unsettled.
