Geoffrey Owen Miller explores the spectacle of light, color and materiality through fragmentary parts in his sculptures, paintings and works on paper. His practice focus on how image and information feeds of each other and how ideas materialize in color, pattern and texture. He concentrates on one material for a period of time before shifting to see how that understanding transfers to another material. His praxis origins from a great interest and respect for the techniques developed in previous cultures and the scientific formulas behind them and he employs traditional dying technics to his sculptures and works on paper.
